This blog represents a twenty year career as an illustrator, the bulk of it having been spent working for major studios such as Disney Feature Animation, Disney Interactive, Blue Sky, Animation Lab, etc.
In all cases, the work exhibited is free from NDA ( Non-disclosure Agreement ) and as such is permissable to showcase in an online portfolio according to both Society of Illustrators and Union ( The Animation Guild ) guidelines. All work on this blog, whether Visual Development, Concept Art, Pre-Production or Production, was executed by myself. More often than not when working on a feature at a major studio, there is a franchise involved, or at the very least propriety characters, settings, etc. In short, a brand. It is customary and ethical, on a reel or in the case of a screen shot, to specify the precise capacity in which an artist contributed to the footage. None of the images herein are screenshots and were executed solely by myself- even those representing pre-existing characters, locations, or assets, or which are based upon former iterations by other artists.
